Played in all 11 tournaments and 33 rounds in his first collegiate season fall … Led the Dukes and ranked fourth in the league with a 72.73 scoring average and posted 12 rounds of par or better, earning Second Team All-CAA honors … Led the team in scoring in five of the 11 tournaments played … Had five top-15 and nine top-30 finishes on the year … Had his best finish at the Joe Agee Invitational, tying for fifth at even-par 213, his 54-hole low, and also helping JMU win the team title in the event … Tied for eighth at the Bash at the Beach Invitational with an even-par 213, earning CAA Golfer of the Week honors … Tied for 12th at the CAA Championship … Had his best 18 in the second round of the Golf Galaxy VCU Shootout, shooting a 5-under 67 and eventually finishing in a tie for seventh at 2-under 214.

HIGH SCHOOL
As both a sophomore and junior at Linganore won the Frederick County High School Championship … Posted the lowest stroke average in the county as a senior, earning him Frederick News Post Player of the Year honors for the second consecutive year … Three-time team MVP and two-year captain so far, Cole also took home the Maryland District 1 Tournament title his freshman year … Had eight career AJGA top-10s, including four summer of 2012, earning him a ranking of 60th nationally according to the Polo Golf Junior Rankings … In 2012 was the medalist at the AJGA Peninsula Junior Classic and was runner-up in both the AJGA Erie Junior Golf Classic and the AJGA William Penn Junior Championship … Finished sixth at the Southern Junior Championship and Woodward Video Junior, including a summer-low 66 in the second round … Had four career top-five finishes at the Maryland State Junior Amateur and qualified for match play at the 2012 Maryland Amateur … A two-time member of the AJGA HP Scholastic All-American Honor Roll with a 4.0 GPA in high school.
